Thank you for choosing to support Caribbean Kids and Families Therapy Organisation
(“CKFTO”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). By making a donation through this website,
you agree to the following Terms and Conditions.
1. Purpose of Donations
Donations made through this website are used to support CKFTO’s mission to provide
affordable, professional, and empathetic therapeutic services to children with special
needs, while supporting and empowering their families and educating the wider community.
Unless otherwise stated by CKFTO in writing, donations are treated as general
contributions to support CKFTO’s programmes, services, outreach, operational needs,
and related charitable activities.
2. Donor Information
When making a donation, you may be asked to provide your name, email address,
contact number, and donation amount. You agree that the information you provide is
accurate and complete.
CKFTO may use the information provided to process your donation, issue a receipt or
confirmation, respond to donor enquiries, maintain donation records, and communicate
with you about your donation where necessary.
3. Payment Processing
Online payments are processed through a secure third-party payment gateway. CKFTO
does not collect, process, or store your full credit card or debit card details on
its website.
By proceeding with an online donation, you agree to comply with the payment gateway’s
applicable terms, security checks, and transaction requirements.
4. Donation Confirmation
After completing your donation, you may receive an on-screen confirmation and/or email
confirmation. Please keep your donation reference number for your records.
A successful payment confirmation does not create a commercial contract for goods or
services. Donations are voluntary contributions in support of CKFTO’s work.
5. Refund Policy
Donations are generally non-refundable.
However, CKFTO may review refund requests in limited circumstances, including duplicate
payments, incorrect donation amounts, or transactions made in error. Refund requests
should be submitted as soon as possible using the contact information below and must
include the donor’s name, contact information, donation amount, transaction date, and
donation reference number.
Approval of any refund request is at CKFTO’s discretion and may be subject to
verification with the payment gateway or financial institution. Processing times may vary.
6. Tax and Receipt Information
CKFTO may provide donation receipts or confirmations where applicable. Donors are
responsible for seeking their own tax advice regarding whether a donation is eligible
for any deduction, relief, or benefit under the laws of Trinidad and Tobago or any
other applicable jurisdiction.
CKFTO does not guarantee that any donation will qualify for tax relief unless expressly
confirmed in writing.
7. Security
We take reasonable steps to protect the donation process and donor information.
However, no website, payment system, or online transmission can be guaranteed to be
completely secure.
You are responsible for ensuring that you use a secure device, a trusted internet
connection, and accurate payment information when making a donation.
8. Website Availability
CKFTO aims to keep the donation portal available and functioning properly. However,
we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access. The website or payment service
may be unavailable from time to time due to maintenance, technical issues, third-party
service interruptions, or circumstances beyond our control.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, CKFTO shall not be liable for any indirect,
incidental, consequential, or special loss arising from your use of the donation portal,
third-party payment services, or inability to complete a transaction.
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
10. Changes to These Terms
CKFTO may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. Any changes will be
posted on this website. Continued use of the donation portal after changes are posted
means you accept the revised Terms.
